N E W S   R E L E A S E  

            The Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office Traffic Enforcement Unit will conduct a “Red Light Running Operation” on Thursday, May 12th at Eglin Parkway and Lewis Turner Boulevard in front of the west gate of Eglin Air Force Base.  The goals of the Red Light Running Operation is to detect and stop the running of red lights and ensure the safety of citizens in Okaloosa County as well as law enforcement officers. 

        Running red lights is identified as an aggressive driving violation.  Violations are $112.50 infractions, with 3 points applied to the driver’s license. 

        Sheriff Charlie Morris and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is committed to traffic safety and to ensure everyone traveling on Okaloosa County roadways may do so securely and free from harm and personal danger.
