The Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office Traffic Enforcement Unit will conduct a “Red Light Running Operation” on Thursday, May 26^th at Main Street and Highway 98 in Destin.  The goals of the Red Light Running Operation is to detect and stop the running of red lights and ensure the safety of citizens in Okaloosa County as well as law enforcement officers. 

Running red lights is identified as an aggressive driving violation.  Violations are $112.50 infractions, with 3 points applied to the driver’s license. 

Sheriff Charlie Morris and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is committed to traffic safety and to ensure everyone traveling on Okaloosa County roadways may do so securely and free from harm and personal danger.
