National
Night Out
The
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is
teaming up with the Front Porch
Initiative in
Sylvania
Heights
for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2nd.
The national event will start around 4 pm on
Cypress Street
in
Fort Walton Beach
and it is to commemorate Neighborhood Watch and to help fight crime in our
neighborhoods. It
is a way for neighborhoods to heighten awareness among citizens, law enforcement
agencies, community groups, and local businesses about crime, drug and violence prevention.
The Front Porch Initiative and the Okaloosa County
Sheriff’s Office are inviting everyone to be involved in making National Night
Out a success.

Those who participate can
set up booths.
Cypress

will be closed to through traffic.
