Employees of the Quarter, 2005

Okaloosa County Sheriff Charlie Morris has recognized Investigator Al McDonough and Non-Sworn Employee Bobby Brown as his Employees of the Quarter for the Second Quarter of 2005.

Investigator Al McDonough, assigned to the Drug Task Force, has been with the Sheriff’s Office since July of 1991.  Investigator McDonough’s investigative techniques and his abilities to lead and teach others are without equal.  He is currently involved as lead investigator or supervising investigator in several potentially large cases.  The State Attorney’s Office, the US Attorney in the Northern District of Florida, as well as other law enforcement officers seek advice from Investigator McDonough because of his outstanding reputation and thoroughness as an investigator.  He maintains a large caseload for a narcotics investigator and takes time to assist junior investigators.  He also makes time to participate on the Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT).

Bobby Brown started his employment with the Sheriff’s Office in February, 2001, and is currently working in the Fleet Department.  His supervisor says, “Bobby is an exemplary employee.  He is highly motivated and has an excellent attitude toward work.  He consistently maintains a high level of professionalism performing his everyday assignments and often goes above and beyond his assigned duties.  He has successfully cross–trained between the automotive mechanic and the automotive technical division which makes him valuable to our fleet management.”
