PROVIDING ALCOHOL TO MINORS ARREST

The Okaloosa County Medical Examiner’s Office says a Holt teenager who died at a birthday party in July died of natural causes.  19-year old Willis Eugene Cobb of  4842 Griffith Mill Road was found unresponsive on the  front porch of a Baker home the morning of July 31st.  An autopsy revealed Cobb suffered from a heart condition.  His blood alcohol level was 0.02.

However, as a result of an investigation into the death, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged 39-year old Anne Louise Horak of Baker with providing alcohol to underage party-goers.  Horak faces four counts of providing alcohol to a person under the age of 21 and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Cobb’s death occurred at the home of Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputy Jim Darr.  An internal investigation involving interviews with multiple witnesses at the party determined Darr was in bed before the party started and was unaware of the underage drinking.  As a result, Darr  is cleared of any wrongdoing and remains on duty.
