Murder Suspect from
Michigan
Arrested

County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrant Investigators and members of The
United States Marshals North
Florida
Violent Fugitive Task Force announce the arrest of attempted murder suspect
Carlos Rene Medina. Medina,
age 34 (06/1/71), of Sundial Mobile Home Park, at 5300 South Ferdon Boulevard,
lot # 22 Crestview, was taken into custody on October 3rd for
Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Initially
Medina
tried to escape out of a window and provided law enforcement with the name of
“Carlos Gonzalez” when arrested.
The following week on October 10th, it was discovered that
Gonzalez, while still in custody, was actually Carlos Medina, a fugitive wanted
by the Michigan State Police for Attempted Murder and Armed Criminal Sexual
Conduct.
While
executing a search warrant at the above residence investigators located
approximately eight pounds of marijuana, along with cocaine residue, a digital
scale and packaging material consistent with covert transportation.
In addition, a firearm was also seized as a result of the search.
Also
arrested was Cesar Alvarez Reyes, age 25 (
07/02/80
), of
5300 South Ferdon Boulevard
, lot #22. Reyes
was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana
with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of a
Firearm while in the Commission of a Felony.
