DUI
CRACKDOWN
The
Okaloosa County
Sheriff
's Office wants you to start off the New Year in a safe way. And to help
ensure that happens, Okaloosa
Sheriff
Charlie Morris will be adding at least eight additional deputies to major
roadways New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The additional patrols will be
targeting impaired and aggressive drivers all along Highway 98, State Road 85,
and Highway 90. The
Sheriff
wants to remind the public that his agency has a zero tolerance policy towards
drunk driving and has made a record-breaking amount of DUI arrests so far this
year, nearing the 600 mark. So, if you plan to party this holiday, make
sure you have a designated driver.
