SECOND
ARREST MADE IN JUNE SHOOTING INCIDENT
A
second man faces charges in connection with a shooting on 
lton Beach
is now charged with aggravated battery with a firearm.
An investigation by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office into the shooting of
Jose Alberto Guerrero-Garcia produced the identities of two defendants. The
first, 25-year old Pedro Alberto Guzman- Soto of
On Monday, deputies arrested Obregon, of
Investigators say the victim recently recovered enough from his injuries to
discuss what happened and pick the two defendants out of a photographic lineup.
Guerrero-Garcia says when he answered his door, Obregon was pointing a gun at
him and hit him with it on the back of the head. He stated that Guzman-Soto held
him on the ground while Obregon shot him in the neck. They stood him up and
Guzman-Soto shot him in the stomach area, and then in the neck for the third
shot.
It’s believed a dispute over money between Guzman-Soto and another man sparked
the crime.
