BUSINESS OWNER FACES VOYEURISM CHARGE
The owner of the "Sexy Lady" retail shop in Crestview has been charged with
voyeurism after investigators with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office and
Crestview Police Department discovered a hidden camera in the business's
restroom/changing area.
A search warrant was executed at the store October 19th. Sheriff's
investigators confiscated an alarm clock from inside the bathroom/dressing room
with a small camera inserted inside. They also recovered a VCR recorder and a
small television from behind the store counter, along with a power supply that
was marked for a receiver in the same location.
Two females who had assisted in the investigation say McManus was the clerk at
the time they were in the store. They say the clock had a deck of cards
underneath it to elevate it. McManus told deputies he put the clock in the
restroom/changing area but knew nothing about the camera.
