SHERIFF’S OFFICE SEARCHES FOR SUSPECTED CHILD ABDUCTOR
SUSPECT
LOCATED!!!
The
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who picked up a young
girl from near her bus stop Wednesday morning, drove her around for as much as
thirty minutes, then later dropped her off at a convenience store.
The 7-year old girl appears unharmed. She says the man offered her a ride
to school while she was walking to her bus stop in the area of Yancey Street in
Ocean City around 7:45 Wednesday morning. She mistook him for a relative and got
into the car before realizing he was a stranger.
The man eventually took the child to the area near the Country Corner
Store on Lewis Turner Boulevard and let her out.
The suspect is described as a white male with curly red hair and a
close-shaven mustache. He was wearing a short-sleeved blue shirt with a logo or
printing on the top left-hand side. The child says he also had on green shorts
with paint on them and short brown boots.
He was driving a silver or gold colored car with a tan interior.
