SONIC ARMED
ROBBERY SUSPECT CAPTURED
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Kentucky man who
recently arrived in Fort Walton Beach with armed robbery and petit theft. The
robbery took place at the Sonic Drive-In in Mary Esther early Sunday morning.
20-year old Sean Kenneth Malcolm is accused of entering the store around
4 a.m. wearing a camouflage ski mask and gloves. Workers say he pointed a
handgun toward them and demanded money. He then left and went to a Navarre
hotel. Malcolm told investigators he paid for the room with cash he took from
the Sonic restaurant. He was arrested Thursday afternoon at 1850 Stella Lane,
Apartment 416 in Fort Walton Beach.
Investigators retrieved a BB gun from inside Malcolm’s car.
