WOMAN BURNED IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASE
The
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated battery,
domestic violence case in which the victim suffered serious burns to her body.
45-year old Madeline Miller of 1158 Farmer
Street in Crestview was taken by ambulance to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola
for treatment of her injuries.
Okaloosa
Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the Tom Thumb store at 802 North Ferdon
Boulevard in Crestview around 10:40 Sunday night (June 15th). When
they arrived, they say Miller told them her boyfriend poured rubbing alcohol on
her during a fight at their home and then lit her with a cigarette lighter. He
then drove her to the Tom Thumb store, dropped her off, and left.
Deputies went to
the Farmer Street home Miller shares with 41-year old Harold Cornelius Haynes,
but Haynes was not there. His whereabouts are unknown. Charges are pending
warrant approval.
