ONE ARRESTED SO FAR IN ARMED HOME INVASION
ROBBERY
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s
Office has arrested one person in connection with an armed home invasion robbery
in Fort Walton Beach Monday morning. 20-year old Nicole “Tinkerbell” Dawn Myers
of 632 Merioneth Drive is charged with being a principal to armed home invasion.
Investigators are also questioning others in connection with the crime at 183
Miramar Street in Mary Esther around 4:20 a.m.
Myers told investigators she drove two men to the home to buy Lortabs.
She says she was not able to buy any and left. The three then went to a
residence in the city of Fort Walton Beach and kicked in the door at that house
before heading back over to 183 Miramar and breaking in there.
Myers says she knew the two men were going to rob two homes, but denies
knowing either had a gun.
Inside 183 Miramar Drive, the victims say they were told to lay on the floor as one of the males kept yelling “Where is it?”. The rooms were ransacked and one of the robbers hit a juvenile male and adult female with a gun. Both were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, as a deputy arrived at the home, one of the robbers ran out the garage door and the other went through a bedroom window. Myers says she left the scene in the car.
