DROWNING VICTIM IDENTIFIED
A drowning victim
discovered Wednesday morning on an Okaloosa Island beach has been identified as
39-year old David Lee Clary of Fort Walton Beach. His last known address was 714
Crescent Avenue.
Witnesses place Clary at the Best Western hotel
on Okaloosa Island last Friday and Saturday (January 23rd & 24th)
The Sheriff's
Office also received a call Saturday from a woman who says she spotted a man on
the Island entering the Gulf of Mexico. She says he kept walking far out into
the water and was carrying clothes.
Intensive
searches of Gulf waters and the beach at that time by the U-S Coast Guard,
Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, and firefighters were unsuccessful.
