The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is actively working leads in connection with a burglary and vandalism at Shoal River Middle School in Crestview June 15th.
The Assistant Principal found the damage when she arrived at the school around 7 a.m. It included flooded hallways, glue poured on a teacher’s chair and computer keyboard, and items smashed on floors.
In addition the vandals also damaged the school mascot suit by throwing it into the water and stole cases of candy.
Those responsible could face charges ranging from burglary and criminal mischief over $1000 – to trespassing and theft.
Deputies have made substantial progress in the case and additional information will be released at the appropriate time.
