The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is working to identify a suspect who snatched a woman’s purse from a grocery store in Destin. Deputies were called to the Winn-Dixie at 981 Highway 98 around noon today.
The victim says she went through a self-checkout register and left, realizing a moment later she’d forgotten her purse at the register. She returned to find her purse, which also contained her cell phone, missing. Surveillance video showed an unidentified man getting the purse and leaving the store without purchasing any items.
The suspect is described as a skinny and balding white male between t-shirt and forty years of age, wearing an orange t-shirt and blue jeans.
