Members of the OCSO School Resource Officer Unit were recognized in the Florida House of Representatives this week for their “excellence in service and dedication to protecting students”. At the request of Rep. Mel Ponder, the House recognized the Unit for being named the 2019 Florida Agency of the Year and for also having the 2019 SRO of the Year – Deputy Cullen Coraine. Those two latest honors are in addition to five other state and national awards earned in the last 8 years alone. Congratulations to our SROs for achieving role model status across the country for their school safety efforts! The video is taken from the myfloridahouse.gov website near the 38th minute.
