A three year old Bluewater Bay child found dead in his home March 15th died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
An autopsy was conducted today by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office investigators say Frederick Franken Jr. was discovered on the floor of his Rawlins Court home by his mother after she’d returned from work.
Beside the boy was his 61-year old father, Frederick Franken Sr., who had multiple self-inflicted stab wounds.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene. The father is currently in stable condition at an area hospital.
A steak knife was recovered.
The child’s mother told OCSO investigators the couple was experiencing marital difficulties and she had recently told her husband she wanted a divorce.
