Two brothers are suspects in a Murder-for-Hire plot in which the intended victim
was a court witness in a drug case.
One suspect, Terry Wayne Holland (pictured
left), age 29 (6-28-1975) of 205-Jenna-Jessi Road,
Fort Walton Beach, was taken into custody this afternoon (Tuesday afternoon) by the
Muscogee County Sheriff's Office in Georgia. Terry Holland had been traced to his
parents' residence in the Columbus, Georgia area. A warrant has also been obtained
against his brother, Greg Dwayne Holland (pictured right), age 28 (8-5-1976), who is currently serving
a 20 year term in the Florida prison system on drug charges. Both Holland brothers are
named in warrants signed yesterday (Monday) afternoon on charges of Solicitation to
Commit First Degree Murder.
The investigation into the murder-for-hire plot began in August, when an acquaintance of the brothers told the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office he had been approached by Greg Holland while dining in a Fort Walton Beach restaurant. He was asked if he would accept guns, gold, or cash as payment to "get rid" of a witness in a pending drug case. He later wore an audio surveillance device when he discussed details of the plan with the Holland brothers.
The plot never came to fruition. Greg Holland was convicted of Trafficking in Cocaine in August.
